OASIS for Animals
PO Box 1304

I would like to welcome OASIS, a newly-formed, privately operated, non-profit foundation, which assists animals in need.

How did OASIS get started?
After several years of working in other animal welfare groups, three friends decided to start their own organization to help the animals of Whidbey Island.

What is OASIS doing to Help Animals?
OASIS will help animals by establishing the following programs:
  • Work with local veterinarians to assist low-income pet owners with the costs of emergency care and spay and neuter operations.
  • Develop a voluntary foster care network to provide temporary housing for animals that need special care before they can be adopted into permanent-forever homes.
  • Provide rehabilitative foster care for animals from overburdened shelters and other rescue groups.
  • Educate children and adults to care for companion animals through school visitation and other informational programs.

How is OASIS Funded?
OASIS is funded primarily through donations of a few private individuals. However, public donations are welcome and will enable OASIS to expand our ability to care for needy animals.
Since there are no paid employees, 100% of all money donated to OASIS will be used directly for the care of the animals.
OASIS will also raise money by sponsoring community-supported events.

How Can I Help OASIS?
By making cash donations.
Donate pet food and other supplies (cat litter, beds, blankets, etc.)
Volunteering to be a foster care provider for a litter of kittens or puppies or a sick or injured animal. If you are interested please contact Jean or Jerry Favini at 360-321-7233 for more information.

Is My Donation Tax-Deductible?
OASIS's 501 (c)(3) registration is pending with the IRS, but they expect that your donations will be fully deductible by the time you file your 2001 tax return.

This is the start of a wonderful new resource for those animals who are in need here on Whidbey Island.

The Great Spay and Neuter Challenge Has Begun!

For everyone who is getting their puppy, kitten, dog, or cat spayed or neutered, I challenge you to make a donation to OASIS to cover a spay or neuter for an OASIS sponsored animal. It doesn't cost much and you would be helping those Whidbey Island animals who are in need. If you are up to this "challenge," contact Jean or Jerry Favini at 360-321-7233 and tell them that you would like to make a donation to cover a spay or neuter for an OASIS animal in need. You will feel really great about what you have done! Your donation towards a spay or neuter will ensure that there will be fewer innocent animals that will be homeless or euthanized in the future. You will be helping to stop an unwanted litter from coming into a World that is already too full of too many unwanted animals.

If you're outside the Island County, WA area, please make a donation to your local rescue or animal shelter to help spay or neuter a dog in your area.

Let's all be part of the solution!

100% of Your Donations to OASIS Goes Directly to the Animals! The Focus is On the Animals with OASIS!
