Remember, Your Animals
Depend on You for Their Care

by Laurie Cecil

If you have an animal who requires regular grooming, please do not just put it off. Grab a brush and spend some quality time working with your special friend. Schedule those regular grooming sessions. It breaks my heart to see animals who have been neglected because their owners "don't have the time for them." That's not an excuse. Make the time to care for your animals. Your are their whole lives, they depend on you for their care.

It saddens me to see that animal who is so matted you can just tell it doesn't feel good. Or the one who has so many fleas just sucking the life out of it, where the only relief the poor animal has is to keep scratching at itself. There's no excuse for these situations in this day and age. You can make the time to care for your animal. You can call your groomer. If your animal has fleas, please call the groomer, or use a good flea and tick shampoo making sure you follow the directions. Use one of the many flea and tick products that are out on the market today. There are several high quality products such as Program, Advantage, and Frontline, (I have used both Advantage and Frontline, and have had wonderful results) along with new ones coming out that will safely take care of your flea problems. Take your animal to the vet for a check-up. If your animal is loaded with fleas there is a good chance that it may have tapeworms as well. Animals get tapeworms from ingesting fleas.
